Hi there,

Sorry for the late entry. I've been busy with Redesigning Pedagogy Conference in NIE, AYM recce at East Coast Park, Geylang with mum and rehearsal for AYM today. I've been everyday since Monday.

We've heard lots of ghost stories.. those in HDBs etc. They might be true and sometimes it's just your imagination. Let me show you why.

Now.. doesnt that look like a pocong hanging from the ceiling? For those of you who don' know what is a pocong, it's a living corpse that haunts people (coz of smthing la.. i dunno. just like pontianaks). Imagine you seeing this at nice.. i would have fainted on the spot.

Now thisis a blanket stuck to the tree. Thanks to sufficient light, we can clearly see that it's a blacket. Now.. what happens at night? hahaha

Ok sharing session. Apart from riding a bike with a skirt.. we ate indian food, met a cute boy Pardh and had fun :)

Here, you see Tera in action. haha. It's her first time trying out the wheel. I personally think handbuiliding is much more easier. It's quie irritating to see your work becoming a disaster just coz you slightly moved your hands while the wheels are turning. yep. Oh and i have painted Sexy. Let me show you the original state of Sexy.

Woke up and i realised Mama went out. I'm all alone at home and so I decided to make Shepherd's Pie. Let me share my recipe with you

Jann's Shepherd's Pie

4 cloves garlic
1 medium sized onion
2cm ginger (chop these 3 items and put them in a blender)

4 bastagi potatoes (peeled, boiled, mashed)
1/4 cup milk

300g minced meat
2 stalks celery (diced)
1 carrot (diced)
1 cube Maggi beef stock

Directions

Prepare the potatoes and boil them for about 8-10 mins. Mash them up and add milk to obtain a softer texture. Leave it aside.

Heat a frying pan, add 1 tablespoon of butter. Once the butter melts, add the blendered onion garlic and ginger. add meat and the beef stock. DO NOT ADD WATER because the meat, celery and carrots contain water. stir fry and allow the meat to cook. Add celery and carrot once most of the water has dried up. Add ground pepper if you want. If it is too bland, add a bit of salt.

Preheat oven to aount 300 to 350 degrees. Place the meat in a baking dish and cover it with the mashed potatoes. *Poke* the top of the potatoes to allow some parts to turn brown. Place the baking in the oven and leave it for about 15 minutes.

Presenting to you, one of my dream shoe. I thought of adding studs to me pair of wedges. However, those studs belong to my mum and i hate using things that are not mine. So, last Friday, i remembered i have some gold chains that i bought from Arab st. The original plan was to make necklaces out of it. But its ok, i can still head there to get more chains. Aite, let me show you the original charles and keith wedges. --> *points below*

Yup that's mine. one of my favourite actually (apart from my DMK stilletos). Spent around 30mins to 1hour sewing the gold chains to my wedges and the result is shown below. Wadya think? I saved approx 50 bucks ok. No need for a new pair of shoes. Now they look brand new!!

A Night at the Museum 2

Thursday morning was spent at Lot 1, watching A Night at the Museum 2 and having breakfast as Wangs (something something). Movie was mediocre. Seriously i think Monsters Vs. Aliens is much more entertaining. But I like that Khamun Ra guy haha!! he has lisp laaa so funny!!

The weather is soo nice.. aahh if only i can just sleep the whole day hahaha. Anyway, I tried to clear piles and piles of JC, Sec.. uni notes/worksheets by scanning them (turning them into softcopy) and then just throw away the hardcopy. but you know what? the scanner takes approximately 30 seconds to scan one page.. alamak.. i think i have at least 1000 pages to do ok. And so, I start to use the IXUS camera on macro mode. haha of coz if works but the quality is okok only. All my fault la.. accidentally dropped the camera when i was in Philippines. Was looking as some of the camera models available.. argh.. have to save up lor.

Ok so you'll ask how did it go right? I managed to do 2 math modules and JC math pile n 1 hour. Thats a lot ok. my JC math pile is madness la. I think they have way too much paper. everytime they print 1 sided la.. alamakss..

Ok I've watched The Uninvited. It's not a bad movie. Better than Angels and Demons (that was a disappointment to me la). I really like the storyline. Go watch people!

In the meantime, I shall continue reading The Rest Falls Away by Colleen Gleason. Take care!

Online shopping, Entertainment

Ah.. online shopping is soo convenient. but nono I cant do anymore shopping for now. Must save up Janna. But i'm in love with the 2nd bag! too bad its small. I want an A4 sized like the 1st one. but it's not as nice as the 2nd one dont you think?

The frequency of me blogging for this week will be very high since im quite free and im bored. Yes. Hells kitchen is my only source of entertainment for now. America's Next Top model is over and i get to watch Bone only once a week. Why do they have to stop producing Kyle XY??!!! it's such a good show i tell you. And i admit that I didn't sleep one of the nights just to keep up with the show. Booo.. it's onli 2 seasons la (eh.. 2 or 3.) and one of the season has 10 episodes ONLY!! wth..

Well, watching Hells Kitchen reminds me of Mama and I in the kitchen. Well. that show makes my mum look like an angel. haha.

I really wanna learn photography. like taking those artistic shots you know. that'll be interesting right. Yea, we'll see how ok. But my Ixus is mad laaa.. it's soooo frustrating to take pics with it ok.. when you press the 'on' button.. the next thing you see is *Please Change the battery pack* alamakkkk.. i just recharge it for 6 hours ok.. don't tell me to change it now.. and i have to switch it off and on a few times.. praying it will be ok after that. That's Case 1. Another case will be ... Janna happily taking shots when the camera decided to just retract its lens and switches off. basket la.. I need to save up for a new cam man.. any suggestions which cam to get. hah. I seriously have to wait long long before i can get a camera. Loonnnnngggggg loooooonnnnnggg

Ok. I've got 2 months worth of slacking and doing whatever i want. 17 days gone and i have to bear in mind that the last weeks of June will also be gone to AYM - ASEAN Youth Mania. Sooo that leaves me with

31+12-17 = 26 days.

Alright. 26 days is all i have before I start getting stressed about Practicum at a certain neighbourhood secondary school.

So far.. i have

Cleared my cupboard
Kept last sem's notes
Gone KL shopping with Tera
Got a penpal from India
Gone to the library and borrowed a pile of books.
Cleared my tuition sessions last week
Did a bit of online shopping
Got myself a mastercard debit card
Made Mother's Day books and sold them
Taught Dosh for his Mid Year Exams
Completed my Publicity tasks for AYM

I need to

Complete painting my pots
Send the banners and T-shirts for printing
Start doing my DIY necklace
Start sewing my shoe with sequins
Start writing my first letter to my penpal

Yup that's the list for now. Oh yes, Dosh and i watch Angels and Demons yesterday and both of us hated the movie. It's such a disappointment. The book is soooo much better compared to the movie. Come on, Dosh actually finish that 600 page book ok. It has got to be good.

I'm currently working on the main image for this website.

Now an update on Hudi's Surprise Party. Actual plan was to meet at Singapore Botanical Gardens and surprise her with a picnic. However, the weather does not permit us to do so. Thus, we decided to change the venue to Cindy's void deck . Still waiting for the pics after the arrival of Hudi baby. For now, i'll just post some of the pics we took before she appears. Ah yes the cake.. blame it on inertia and that bus driver. who ask him to brake abruptly all the time??? the top of the cake looks a bit like landslide.

Yup. The top 'jam part' decided to slide up..

Of coz I tried to fix it. and of coz it looked a bit better after that.

And now, presenting to you, my Ali Baba pants. I'm in love with it at the moment coz it's really one of a kind. Perhaps i'll try making quilts one day.

Ah and this is my versatile model. who can deliver bombastic shots even with an Auntie in the background. You go gal!

Starting on a new slate

Hi darlings. I'm going to start in a brand new blog (same old add - no JC entries) after looking at some of my friend's blog. Took me some time to start this all over again coz i will usually be to stumped on what to write for my entry.

Anyway, yesterday we had a surprise for Hudi Baby at Cindy void deck. Read more about it in the next post. Take care :) I'm off to tuition now
